CAMP SULLIVAN (MILITARY PARK)
Was ceded to State by Congress in 1827. First City Park and site of the first State Fair 1852. Named by Gov. Morton to honor Gen. Jeremiah Sullivan. Marshalling Center during Civil War 1861-1864.
Dedicated 1971 by the Indiana Society Children of the American Revolution. |
