LA BAJADA
La Bajada, or Òthe descent,Ó marks the division between the Ro Arriba, or Òupper river,Ó and the Ro Abajo, or Òlower river,Ó sections of New Mexico. This steep and dangerous grade was long an obstacle to caravan traffic going from the Ro Grande Valley to Santa Fe. |
