SAMUEL HARRIS HOMESITE
1759-1930
The home of Samuel Harris - pre Revolutionary public official, patriot, Baptist minister, advocate of religious liberty, first moderator of Pittsylvania and Virginia Baptists -- stood on the slope west of this marker. Here the Fall Creek Baptist Church was formed and met until 1771.
