Five miles west is "Hedra Cottage", site of the home of Colonel Edmund Scarborough (Scarburgh), Surveyor General of the Colony. Beyond, at the end of Scarborough's Neck, was the village of the Occahannock Indians, the seat of Debedeavon, the "Laughing King". |
