Caption HORRY-GUIGNARD HOUSE One of the oldest houses in Columbia; built before 1813, probably by Peter Horry (1747-1815), Colonel in Revolution, Brigadier General of S.C. militia. Later home of John Gabriel Guignard (1751-1822), Surveyor General of S.C., 1798-1802. Erected 1938 by the Columbia Sesquicentennial Commission of 1936.
